Victor DeMasi is a long practicing Connecticut artist and craftsman. In addition to being a decorative painting contractor, he provides design services, teaches workshops, writes, and lectures. His articles appear regularly in Faux Finisher Magazine and American Painting Contractor. He was recently made a lifelong member of the International Salon of Decorative Painters.

Monarch Painting has been featured in The New York Times, House and Garden Magazine, Yankee, and scores of other national and local publications. The vast majority of our work is custom residential work including expert color mixing, consultations, and mix and match color schemes for fabric.

Contract work is mostly residential directly to the homeowners or to interior designers. Historic projects include the National Park Service, Yale University, and The State of Washington. Monarch Studio is in West Redding, Ct, houses a large sample collection as well as a number of portfolios on completed projects. Expert design and color consulting are included in most projects. Bulk price or hourly rates are available. Work is preformed by written contract and future touchups are guaranteed by the maintenance of a customer job file.

Recent projects include: Grisaille, Historic Restoration, Mural, Fine Art, Wall Glazing, Floor Marbelizing, Furniture, Painted Stripes, Wood Grain, and European stenciling.
